My B2 and C1 vocational language courses at the Academy of Languages

You may take part in a vocational language course if you meet the following requirements:

ROOTS
You are
➜ immigrated from a third country or
➜ an EU citizen or
➜ German with a migration background.

NEEDS
You need a certain language level
➜ for professional recognition or access to the profession, or
➜ you are in training/looking for a training position or
➜ you are registered as a jobseeker/receive unemployment benefit or
➜ you have a job and need to improve your German language skills for everyday working life.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
You have completed the integration course or can prove knowledge at level B1 of the CEFR.

In the professional language course, you will learn how to communicate at work so that you can express yourself confidently when dealing with colleagues, customers and business partners.

You will learn the appropriate linguistic tools for typical everyday professional situations and practise how best to use these tools. In general, you will work on your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.

For example, you will learn:
➜ to talk to customers on the phone
➜ to write short messages to your colleagues
➜ write emails to business partners
➜ understand contracts
➜ express yourself appropriately in a wide variety of situations
