The written exam tests your language skills at the A1 level in 3 areas: Listening, Reading and Writing.

In the listening section you will hear short conversations and announcements. There is a task for each individual conversation or announcement. The task formats include true-false tasks and multiple choice. You will have approximately 20 minutes for this part.

The reading and writing part takes a total of 45 minutes. For the reading part you have about 25 minutes; for the writing part about 20 minutes. In the reading section you will be given various texts, such as short letters, advertisements or e-mails. You have to solve e.g. multiple choice or true-false tasks for the different texts. The writing part consists of two tasks: filling out a form and writing a short message.

The oral exam is usually a partner exam. It consists of three tasks. The first task is for you and your partner to introduce each other. In the second task, you request information. In the third task, you demonstrate that you can easily formulate and respond to A1-level requests.
